Social posts
Write a post once, then schedule or publish it to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok from one calendar.
Social posts lets you plan and publish to your social accounts from Lahuta. Write a post once, send it to several accounts, adjust it for each one, and see all of it on a calendar. Northside Pottery can schedule a week of kiln-opening photos on Sunday and let them go out on their own.
Open it from Marketing → Social Posts.
Connect your accounts
On the Social posts page, select Connections.
On the account you want, select Connect Instagram, Connect Facebook, Connect LinkedIn or Connect TikTok, and sign in to that platform to allow Lahuta to post.
If the account can post as more than one thing, like you or a company page on LinkedIn, Lahuta asks which to Post as. Pick one.
| Platform | Posts to |
|---|---|
| An Instagram account: photos, carousels and reels. | |
| A Facebook Page you manage. | |
| Your profile, as a person, or a company page. | |
| TikTok | A TikTok account. |
Each connection shows Connected, Unfinished if you didn't finish choosing, with Finish connecting, or Action required if the platform stopped accepting posts, with Reconnect. Disconnect removes it. Posts scheduled to a disconnected account won't go out until you connect it again.
Write a post
Select New post. Give it a title so your team can tell posts apart. The title isn't published.
Select + in the channel row to add the accounts it goes to.
Write the Text and add media from your library, up to 20 items. The preview on the right shows how it looks on each account.
Select an account's avatar to open its settings. Choose the placement where there's a choice, like Feed, Reel, Carousel or Story on Instagram, which of the post's media it uses, and any platform settings. To say something different on one account, write text for that channel only.
Select Schedule, pick a date and time, and select Schedule post. To post right away, open the arrow next to Schedule and choose Publish now.
Drafts save as you work. Select Save draft to save straight away. If an account has a problem, like text that's too long or missing media, its avatar shows a warning and the settings list what to fix.
What each platform takes
| Platform | Text | Media |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 2,200 characters | Needed. Up to 10 JPEG images, or one video up to 15 minutes. | |
| Up to 3,000 characters | Optional. Up to 10 images, or one video. | |
| Up to 3,000 characters | Optional. Up to 20 images, or one video up to 10 minutes. | |
| TikTok | Up to 2,200 characters | Needed. Up to 35 images, or one video up to 10 minutes. |
TikTok also shows the longest video your account can post, which may be shorter.
Platform settings
- Instagram. For a video, set a Cover: Pick an image, or set a Cover frame (seconds) from the video. A picture wins over a frame.
- Facebook. Nothing to set. It posts to the Page you connected.
- LinkedIn. Choose the Visibility: Public or Connections.
- TikTok. Choose Who can view: Public, Friends or Only me. TikTok won't take the post until you do. Turn Allow comments, Allow Duet and Allow Stitch on or off. If the post promotes something, turn on Disclose commercial content and choose Your brand, which labels it "Promotional content", or Branded content, which labels it "Paid partnership". Branded content can't be posted as Only me.
The calendar
The Social posts page is a calendar. Switch between Month, Week, Day and List, or press M, W, D or L. Press T to jump to today, and the arrow keys to move back and forward.
- Drag a post to another day to reschedule it.
- Open the Drafts tray at the bottom and drag a draft onto a day to schedule it.
- In Day view, select a free time slot to start a post at that time.
- List shows every post with its channels, status and time. Filter by channel or status.
Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Not scheduled yet. |
| Scheduled | Waiting for its time. |
| Publishing | Going out now. |
| Published | Live on every account. |
| Partly published | Live on some accounts. Others failed. |

After it's published
Open a published post to see each account's result: its status, View post to open it on the platform, and Views, Likes, Comments and Shares. Select Refresh to update the numbers.
If an account failed, the post shows the reason and a Retry button. Duplicate copies the post into a new draft, handy for a repeat.
Change or cancel a scheduled post
Open the post, make your changes and select Save changes. To move it, select Reschedule, pick a new time and select Update schedule. To stop it, open the arrow next to Reschedule and choose Cancel schedule. A draft's arrow menu has Delete draft.
Leave notes for your team
Select the comments button at the top of a post to leave a note for whoever picks it up, like "Swap the second photo for the blue glaze." Comments stay in Lahuta and are never posted. In a post, press J and K to go to the next and previous post.
