What your customers see
The pages your customers use to pay, open tickets, manage bookings, accept offers and message you, with and without a Lahuta account.
This page walks through Lahuta from your customer's side, so you know what they see when you send them a link or they ask you a question. Customers don't need an account to buy from you, register or book. Every email they get links to a page that works without signing in. If they do sign in with the same email address, everything they've bought from anyone on Lahuta is in one place.
Paying
Products, services and offers are paid for on a checkout page at lahuta.org/checkout/.... Event tickets are bought on the event page itself.
On the checkout page, the customer:
- Enters their Full name, Email and, if they like, a phone number.
- Chooses Ship to me or Pick up in store, when you offer both. For shipping, they enter an address and pick a Shipping option.
- Types a coupon into the Discount code box and selects Apply, if they have one.
- Pays by card and selects Pay with the total, or uses Apple Pay or Google Pay where their device supports it. A free order ends with Place order instead.
The footer reads "Payments are processed by Stripe · Powered by Lahuta". If a payment fails, they're told it didn't go through and that nothing was charged. A checkout left too long says "This checkout expired".
After paying for products, they land on "Thank you for your order!" with the order number, what they bought, any Download buttons for digital files, and where it ships to or where to pick it up. A receipt goes to their email.
See Get paid for the Stripe side and Orders for what you do next.
Tickets
On an event page, the customer selects Register Now, or Request Approval if you approve guests first. During registration they can tick "Tell me about new dates" to hear when you add more.
Their ticket email links to a ticket page. It shows Ticket confirmed, and under it When, Where, Attendee and Ticket, with a QR code to show at the door. The Ticket line says "Checked in" once you've scanned them. From the ticket page they can:
- Add to calendar, with Google Calendar or Apple and Outlook
- Open in Maps for an in-person event, or Open meeting link for an online one
- Sign in for tickets to keep all their passes together
- Complete profile to add a photo for check-in, if they're signed in and have none
A cancelled ticket or date is marked Cancelled on the same page. See Guests and check-in.
Bookings
After booking a time, the customer sees "You're booked" with the time in their own time zone, any instructions you wrote, and a Manage booking button. The confirmation email links to the same page.
On Manage booking they can:
- Reschedule shows "Pick a new time". They choose one and select Confirm new time. If someone takes that time first, they're asked to pick another.
- Cancel booking asks them to confirm, saying "The organizer is told, and the time goes back on offer." They can still choose Keep it.
Once a booking has passed or been cancelled, Reschedule and Cancel booking go away and the page says why. It may offer Book again instead. See Manage bookings.
Offers
When you send a custom offer, the customer gets a link to it. The offer page shows the Amount, Delivery time, Revisions included and when it expires. If they aren't signed in, they select Sign in to accept first. Then Accept and pay takes them to checkout. An offer you've withdrawn, one that has expired, or one already accepted can't be accepted. See Offers.
Newsletter
When someone signs up through the Subscribe block on your Express Page, they see either "Thanks for subscribing!" or, when confirmation is needed, "Check your inbox to confirm your subscription." The confirmation link opens "You're subscribed to Northside Pottery's newsletter".
Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. It opens "Stop marketing email?" and they select Confirm unsubscribe. They're told order and account mail still arrives. Their address then shows as Unsubscribed on your Do not email list.
With a Lahuta account
Customers who sign in with the email they used get more. The sidebar's Home tab has Messages and Orders under My Activity.
My Tickets at lahuta.org/tickets lists their passes under Upcoming and Past. Signed out, it asks them to "Sign in with the email you used to register and your passes will appear here."
Orders lists what they've bought, with All, Products and Services tabs. A product order shows its progress, such as Confirmed, Ready for pickup, Shipped or Completed. A service order shows Awaiting payment, In progress, Delivered or Completed, and once you deliver the work they can:
- Mark completed to accept it
- Request revision, describe "What needs changing?" and select Request revision, while they have revisions left
If they do neither, the order completes on its own seven days after delivery. For cancellations or problems, the order page points them to support@lahuta.org. See Service orders.
Messages holds a conversation with each business they've dealt with. Message seller on an order or a service page starts one. Offers show up in the conversation too, marked "Awaiting your answer", "Accepted" or "Withdrawn". Their messages arrive in your Inbox, and your replies from there appear in their conversation.
Account, in the menu under their name, is where they change their name, phone number, birthday and photo.
