Discover
How your events, products and services get listed on lahuta.org, how people browse them, and how to opt out.
Lahuta has public listings where people browse events, products and services from every organization: lahuta.org/events, lahuta.org/shop and lahuta.org/services. Your listings appear there automatically, so people who have never heard of Northside Pottery can find its wheel-throwing classes and mugs. There's nothing to sign up for.
People reach these listings from the Home tab in the sidebar, and lahuta.org itself opens on events.
What gets listed
Your organization's Listed on discover setting has to be on. It's on unless you turn it off. On top of that, each item has its own rule:

An event on /events | Its Visibility is Public and it has a date still to come. |
A product on /shop | Its status is Active and its Let other shops feature it switch is on. |
A service on /services | Its status is Active and its Let other shops feature it switch is on. |
So a Private or Third-party event, or a product with Let other shops feature it off, stays off the listings but still works for anyone you send the link to. Draft and Archived products and services aren't on sale anywhere.
Turn discover off
Go to Settings → Organization.
Under Discover, turn off Listed on discover: "Show my events, products and services on lahuta.org and on partner sites."
All your listings come off the feeds. Your Express Page, event pages, product pages and service pages stay exactly as they are, and anyone with a link can still buy or register. Only admins can change this setting.
How people browse
Visitors search "events, organizers, venues" and filter by:
- Date: Any time, Today, This week, This weekend or This month
- Format: In-person & online, In-person only or Online only
- Location: a state or city, or All locations. The list may start on the visitor's own area.
- Price: Any, Free or Paid
- Sort: Recommended, Soonest first or Newly added
Results fall into Today & This Week and Coming Up. Each event shows once, on its next date. Next to Filters, an RSVPs tab lists the events a signed-in visitor has registered for.
How Recommended ranks listings
Recommended is the default sort. It puts first:
- events with a date coming up soon, and products and services added recently
- popular listings, meaning events with more tickets taken and products and services with more paid orders
- listings from organizations with a complete profile
Lahuta counts a profile as complete when it has a logo, a banner and a connected Stripe account.
Help your listings rank
Add a logo and banner in Organization settings and connect Stripe. It helps every listing you have.
If Lahuta removes a listing
The Lahuta team can take a listing, or a whole organization, off the discover feeds, and leaves a note saying why. When that happens, everyone in your organization gets the Listing removed from discover notification with the note. If you have questions about it, write to the team with the Support button or at support@lahuta.org.
