Booking pages
Set up each thing people can book, with its own link, length, hours and questions.
A booking page is one thing people can book, like a private lesson, a fitting or an intro call. Each has its own link, how long a booking runs, the hours you're open, and any questions you want answered. Make one for each kind of appointment you offer.
Create a booking page
Go to Bookings → Booking pages and select New booking page.
Enter a Title. It's what people see at the top of the page, for example "Private wheel lesson".
Pick a Duration: 15, 30 or 45 minutes, 1 hour, 1 hour 30 minutes, 2 hours, or Custom to type the number of minutes.
Check the Timezone. Your hours are read in this zone, and visitors see times in their own.
Select Create booking page. It opens Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and takes you to its settings.
Each booking page has three tabs: Details, Hours and Questions. At the top, Open booking page shows it as visitors see it, and Copy link copies its address.
Details
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Title | The name at the top of the page. |
| Link | The last part of the page's address, lahuta.org/<your-org>/book/<link>. Lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens. |
| Description | What the booking is. Shown on the booking page and on the page that lists all your booking pages. |
| Instructions | Where it happens or what to bring. Shown on the booking page and in the confirmation. |
| Duration | How long each booking runs, from 5 to 720 minutes. |
| Start-time step | How far apart the offered start times are. With a 60-minute lesson and a 30-minute step, people can start at 10:00, 10:30, 11:00 and so on. |
| Capacity | How many bookings can run at the same time, from 1 to 100. Use more than 1 for group sessions like open studio time. |
| Timezone | The zone your hours are written in. Bookings already made keep their times. |
| Required or Optional. | |
| Phone | Required or Optional. |
A name is always asked. Whatever you choose for email and phone, every booking needs at least one of them, so you have a way to reach the person.
Select Save changes when you're done. If you change the Link, the old address stops working, so update anywhere you shared it.
Hours
The Hours tab sets when people can book, week after week.
Turn each day on or off. A day that's off shows Closed.
Set the opening and closing time for each day that's on. Select Add hours to add a second stretch, for example to leave a lunch break.
To give every weekday the same hours, set one day and select Copy to all weekdays. It copies to Monday through Friday.
Select Save hours.
Stretches on the same day can't overlap, and each has to end after it starts.
Questions
Name, email and phone are asked on every booking, as set on the Details tab. On the Questions tab, select Add question for anything else you need, like "What would you like to make?" or "Have you used a wheel before?". Questions work the same way as event questions: pick a type, write the question, add options for Choice and Multiple choice, and set whether it's Required. See Tickets and registration for the question types.
The answers show on each booking in your list.
Share a booking page
- Select Copy link on the booking page, or the copy button on its row under Booking pages.
lahuta.org/<your-org>/booklists all your open booking pages, titled "Book with" and your organization's name. Share it when you offer more than one kind of appointment.
Track where bookings come from
Add ?source= to a booking link to label every booking made through it, for
example
lahuta.org/northside-pottery/book/private-wheel-lesson?source=instagram. The
label shows as the booking's Source in your list. It also carries over
from the page listing all your booking pages.
What customers see
The booking page shows your organization's name, the title, the length, the description and instructions. Times are shown in the visitor's own time zone, which they can change. They pick a day and a time, enter their details and answers, and select Confirm booking.
They then see You're booked with the time, your instructions, and a Manage booking button. If they're in a different time zone from you, it also shows the time in yours.
Archive a booking page
To stop taking bookings for something, open the row's menu under Booking pages and select Archive. The page stops taking bookings and its link no longer works. Bookings already made stay in your list. Select Restore to open it again.
