Notifications
See what Lahuta tells you about, who on your team gets each update, and choose which ones arrive by email.
Lahuta tells you when something needs you, like a new order, a booking, a customer message or a request to approve. On Settings → Notifications you choose which of these also arrive in your email.
Your choices are yours alone. Each teammate sets their own, and if you belong to several organizations, each one has its own settings. The page's subtitle reads "Choose which updates you want to receive for this organization."
Choose what's emailed to you
Go to Settings → Notifications.
Find the notification in the Event column. Each has a short description of when it's sent.
Tick or untick its box in the Email column. The change saves straight away and you'll see "Notification preference updated".
Every notification
Unless noted, a notification goes to everyone in the organization. Email is on by default for all of them except Messages.
| Notification | Sent when | Who gets it |
|---|---|---|
| Mentions | A teammate names you in a note on a contact | The person mentioned |
| Reminders | A reminder assigned to you comes due | The person it's assigned to |
| Registration requests | Someone asks to register for an event where you approve people | Everyone |
| Orders | Someone buys from your shop | Everyone |
| Service orders | Someone commissions work from you | Everyone |
| Revision requests | A buyer asks for changes on work you delivered | Everyone |
| Completed service orders | A buyer accepts delivered work, or seven days pass without them asking for changes | Everyone |
| Messages | A contact writes to you and nobody has read it a moment later | The teammate the conversation is assigned to, or everyone if it's unassigned |
| Listing removed from discover | The Lahuta team takes one of your listings off the discover feeds and leaves a note about why | Everyone |
| Submissions | Someone fills in a form on your own website, such as an application or a quote request | Everyone |

| New bookings | Someone takes a time on one of your booking pages | Everyone |
| Moved bookings | Someone moves a booking to another time | Everyone |
| Cancelled bookings | Someone cancels a booking they made | Everyone |
Submissions and Website payments only apply if your own website is connected to Lahuta through the Org API.
Why Messages is off by default
A busy inbox would mean an email for every message, sent to every teammate. Turn it on if you're the one who answers customers and you want to hear about each new message. See Inbox for assigning conversations.
Tips
- Share the load. If one person runs the shop and another runs classes, each can turn off the emails that aren't theirs.
- Assign conversations. An assigned conversation only notifies its assignee, so the rest of the team isn't emailed about it.
- Customers get their own emails. This page is only about updates to your team. Receipts, tickets and booking confirmations to customers are sent regardless.
